Loretta started her post-college career in the philanthropy world by working for the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati’s national grantmaking foundation, SC Ministry Foundation. Loretta developed a network of nonprofits and grantmaking organizations in Cincinnati and around the country, partnering with them to strengthen diverse programs and organizations.
Most recently, Loretta worked for the national philanthropic network, FADICA (Foundations and Donors Interested in Catholic Activities) based in Washington, D.C., which expanded her work with national and international nonprofit and grantmaking organizations.
At FADICA, Loretta contributed to projects and research to advance the philanthropic field, including The Next Generation of Catholic Philanthropists: Inspiration and Ideas for Engagement and Catholic Social Innovation in the Global Refugee Crisis. Loretta also oversaw the launch of the overhaul of the Catholic Funding Guide, managed national public relations campaigns, and supported national gatherings and events for philanthropists and thought leaders.
Loretta has a background and keen interest in organizational development, and is very excited to support Starfire and its partners in living into a future that is better for all of us. Loretta lives in Cincinnati with her husband Kevin, daughter Magdalene, and dog Nilla. She was born in Oakley (well, technically at the hospital in Clifton) and raised in tree-lined Dillonvale. She’s grateful to be at Starfire.
