*This event will kick-off with a free potluck. Check it out here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/visit-with-adam-brock-potluck-tickets-54722191548
How can a deeper understanding of natural systems help us become more effective agents of change? How can we nurture “leader-ful” groups, in which power is connected across all social groups? How can we work together to untangle oppressive dynamics of race, class and other identities – while working to overcome shame and defensiveness?
Join award-winning facilitator, author and social entrepreneur Adam Brock on January 18th and 19th for an immersive exploration of the principles and techniques of Social Permaculture. Drawing from his 2017 book Change Here Now, as well as the wisdom and experience of group participants, Adam will guide the group through a series of engaging, hands-on exercises designed to provide a fresh perspective on the complex dynamics of collaborative social change work.
By analyzing the landscape of poverty and isolation in Cincinnati, participants will learn the full process of designing practical action plans from an ecological perspective. Along the way, we’ll forge closer cross-movement connections and develop new ways forward to a more abundant and connected community.
