Starfire is a groundbreaking organization working to build better lives for people with developmental disabilities, by increasing social connectivity through meaningful relationships in the community where people can be known for their gifts, not their disability.

The years immediately following my son’s diagnosis were dark, my family and I struggled to find our footing in a world that suddenly included 10 different specialists. When my family became part of Starfire, I did not realize how much we would change over the year. Starfire was about to take me and my family on a path that would guide us to a whole new way of thinking and open doors to a life where for the first time, disability was not the focus of our entire world.
