Starfire's Creative Community:

An Annual Celebration

Friday - September 18, 2020 - 6:00-9:30 PM

Starfire’s signature fall event the Annual Celebration brings together over 200 friends, family, and neighbors to celebrate a year of building inclusion with people with disabilities and their families. We premiere inspiring short-feature documentaries, present the annual Guardian of the Light Award, and reveal the winners of our artists’ call for interactive inclusion art. This event is affordable and fully accessible all ages and abilities, with food, drinks, and the chance to experience interactive art installations. See below for details and to buy tickets for the event.

The years immediately following my son’s diagnosis were dark, my family and I struggled to find our footing in a world that suddenly included 10 different specialists. When my family became part of Starfire, I did not realize how much we would change over the year. Starfire was about to take me and my family on a path that would guide us to a whole new way of thinking and open doors to a life where for the first time, disability was not the focus of our entire world.
